How to measure (Design 17)
All measurements are in centimetres (cm). Use a metal tape where possible.
- Height (1) – measure vertically from the ground to the highest point you want the cover to reach.
- Diagonal length #1 (2) – measure corner to opposite corner across the top of the octagon, following the dashed line shown in the diagram.

- Elasticated hem + cord lock – shock cord in the hem with a toggle to cinch tight around the base.

Frequently asked questions
Are the octagonal covers fully waterproof?
Yes – both fabric tiers are designed for outdoor use. Tier 1 (PVL 600D) is waterproof for everyday garden use. Tier 2 (P500UV) adds an extra PU + UV coating for maximum water resistance and long-term exposure.
Can I leave my furniture outside all year?
Many customers use their covers all year round, especially with Tier 2 (P500UV). We still recommend allowing the furniture to breathe occasionally and wiping away standing water where possible.
What if my measurements are a bit wrong?
We add a small tailoring allowance so the cover slips on easily. If you realise you’ve made a mistake, contact us as soon as possible with your order number – if production hasn’t started, we can usually update the sizes.
Can you make covers for other shapes too?
Yes – we can make covers for octagons, rectangles, circles, L-shapes and more complex layouts. Upload a photo and sketch in the notes and we’ll advise on the best design.
How do I clean the cover?
Brush off loose dirt regularly, then sponge clean with mild soapy water and rinse. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage the waterproof coatings. Always let the cover dry fully before storing.
