How to measure (Design 16)
All measurements are in centimetres (cm). Use a metal tape for best accuracy.
- Height (1) – measure vertically from the ground to the highest point you want the cover to reach.
- Diagonal length (2) – measure across the top of the hexagon from one corner straight to the opposite corner, following the dashed line in the diagram.

How the tie-down options work

- No tie-downs – simple drop-over cover, ideal for sheltered patios.
- Elasticated hem + cord lock – shock cord sewn into the base with a toggle to cinch tight.
- Grommets + cord – reinforced metal eyelets around the base with cord to tie to legs or anchors.
- Straps & buckles – webbing straps run under key points of the hexagon.

Frequently asked questions
Are the hexagonal covers fully waterproof?
Yes – both fabric tiers are designed for outdoor use. Tier 1 (PVL 600D) is waterproof for everyday garden use. Tier 2 (P500UV) adds an extra PU + UV coating for maximum water resistance and long-term exposure.
Can I leave my furniture outside all year?
With Tier 2 (P500UV) and good ventilation around the cover, most customers use their covers all year round. We still recommend allowing furniture and cushions to breathe occasionally and wiping away standing water.
What if my measurements are a bit wrong?
We add a small tailoring allowance to help the cover slip on easily. If you realise you’ve measured incorrectly, contact us as soon as possible with your order number – if production hasn’t started, we can usually update the sizes.
Can you make covers for other shapes too?
Yes – we can make covers for hexagons, rectangles, circles, L-shapes and more unusual layouts. Upload a photo and sketch in the notes and we’ll advise which option will fit and handle best.
Can you add cut-outs for chimneys, pipes or fixed legs?
In many cases, yes. We can add simple cut-outs, flaps or vents. Please upload a clear photo and describe what you need in the notes – we’ll confirm what’s possible and if there’s any extra cost before we sew your cover.
How do I clean the cover?
Brush off loose dirt regularly, then sponge clean with mild soapy water and rinse. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage the waterproof coatings over time. Always allow the cover to dry fully before storing.
